McHan Cairns Breeds one to two litters a year, in search of that next show hopeful, attempting to combine beauty, brains and temperament, but not necessarily in that order!  We understand that the demand for quality pups far outweighs supply and hope that those interested in our Cairns realize that we don't always have puppies available, and often won't have our next litter until the following year or season.

We are more than happy to discuss Cairns and/or puppies with prospective Cairn owners, but regret that we cannot return all phone inquiries, particularly those from outside the SF Bay Area, as we have a full family life with three children and job constraints to consider.  If you are interested in contacting us please us the "contact Us" page on this site.

Puppies are raised in our home and are not placed before 12 weeks of age at the earliest...sometimes, not until 6 months if we are "growing out" a pup.  We occasionally have show and pet puppies available for placement in suitable homes.

Pet puppies are to be spayed or neutered by the new owner.  When a spay or neuter certificate from your vet is presented, we will then forward to you the AKC papers of the individual puppy/dog.  We feel strongly that if the dog isn't of sufficient quality to be shown to its AKC Championship, then it should not be bred.
